Burr Ridge Village Center Moved Breakfast, Lunch and Dessert Around in 2026

October 8, 2026

At 8 a.m. on a weekday, there's corned beef hash on a griddle at 590 Village Center Drive. That's the address where Wok n Fire served dinner for 16 years. A few doors away, the space at 595 Village Center Drive used to be Yolk, a breakfast place. Today it's a tavern that bills itself as "an elevated spin on bar food." Kilwins is down the row at 745. It opens at noon and the fudge counter stays open well after dark.

All three changes happened between March and June 2026. Taken together, they moved the center's meals around more than they added new ones. Breakfast still has a home here, but at a different address with an earlier closing time. The old breakfast room now opens for lunch. The evening, once covered by a Chinese dinner spot, now runs on chocolate. If you've been coming here for years, your mental map of the place is probably a season out of date.

Breakfast Moved Over to 590

Wok n Fire closed after 16 years. Its last day was Sunday, April 26, 2026, according to Patch's report that week. By early June, village documents showed Aria's Kitchen moving into 590 Village Center Drive, with owner Bryan Sord saying on social media that it would open that month.

The plan Patch reported in June was for breakfast through dinner every day, and the restaurant had applied for a liquor license. That isn't how it opened. The center's directory now marks Aria's Kitchen "Now Open" and lists daily hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. OpenTable shows the same hours, takes reservations and lists the restaurant as American and breakfast.

So a space that only served dinner now closes before dinner starts. The restaurant's own site describes upscale breakfast and lunch: skillets, egg dishes, sandwiches, burgers, salads and entrees. The dishes it highlights by name give a better feel for the kitchen:

  • Boca Park Skillet
  • Chilaquiles
  • Maple-apple-ham French toast
  • "Famous Corned Beef Hash"

With chilaquiles next to corned beef hash, this menu covers more ground than a pancakes-and-omelets diner. It also gave the center its first dedicated morning restaurant since Yolk closed.

The Old Breakfast Room Now Pours Drinks

Yolk opened at 595 Village Center Drive in May 2022 and closed in January 2025 after about two and a half years. For roughly a year after that, the center had no breakfast spot. The space stayed dark until Thursday evening, March 12, 2026, when The Bridewell Tavern soft-opened in Yolk's former space. The tavern's own site and the center's listing give the address as 595 Village Center Drive.

The next day, co-owner John Mauro told Patch: "Today, we're fully open for lunch and dinner. People are going to find out about this pretty quickly. By tonight, the word will start spreading."

The owners already had a track record nearby. Mauro and Peter Burdi also run Bar Poca Madre in the same center, plus Nabuki and Pronto Italian Sandwiches in Hinsdale. That puts two of the center's bar-and-dinner spots under the same ownership. If you've already eaten your way through downtown Hinsdale, you've likely eaten their food before.

Wings and Tuscan pizzas are the signatures on the Bridewell menu. It also has a smash burger, a French dip, roasted chicken and a dish called Poggiolo's rigatoni vodka. That name has some history. Il Poggiolo was Burdi's Hinsdale restaurant, and a JWC Media profile this fall called it "dearly departed." So a Hinsdale favorite lives on as one dish at a Burr Ridge tavern.

What that means day to day: the room that served eggs from 2022 into 2025 now opens around lunch and runs into the evening. Its weekday schedule differs between the tavern's menu page and the center's directory, so check the tavern's site before planning an early Monday visit.

Kilwins Covers Noon to Night

The third change landed two days after Wok n Fire's last service. Kilwins opened at 745 Village Center Drive on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Owners Mayank Jethva and Nikit Tailor met at Purdue and run the shop day to day.

Both told Patch why they picked this brand. Jethva's first Kilwins memory came "during college summers, meeting up with friends at the St. Charles location on the Fox River." Tailor said, "For me, it started with nostalgia," and called Kilwins "a genuinely high-end product made the right way."

The store has an open kitchen. It sells hand-paddled fudge, caramel apples, caramel corn, brittle, chocolate-dipped treats and premium ice cream, plus the brand's Chocolate-on-the-Inside Waffle Cone. Its hours matter for this story. Kilwins is open noon to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Aria's closes at 3, and Kilwins is open until 9 or 10. For the first time, the center has a sweets-only stop that stays open past the dinner hour.

How a Day at the Center Splits Up Now

Here are the three new tenants by time of day, using the hours each one publishes:

Storefront Replaced Main hours What it covers
Aria's Kitchen, 590 Village Center Dr Wok n Fire 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Breakfast and lunch
The Bridewell Tavern, 595 Village Center Dr Yolk Lunch and dinner most days; confirm early-week times Bar food, pizza, dinner
Kilwins, 745 Village Center Dr New to the center Noon to 9 p.m., 10 p.m. Fri and Sat Dessert and treats

The places around them haven't changed. Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, The Hampton Social, Stix & Stones Wood Fired Pizza, Olive Tree Mediterranean, Topaz Cafe, The Bakery Box, Kohler Waters Spa Cafe and Bar Poca Madre are all still on the center's restaurant directory. Most of those are dinner and drinks places, which is why the move to 590 matters. Aria's is one of the few rooms in the center built around the morning.

Shops are turning over too. JRB Style, listed at 580 Village Center Drive, held its grand opening yesterday, Saturday, October 3, from noon to 3 p.m. That's right next to Aria's at 590. Our older guide to shopping in Burr Ridge is due for a refresh.

Four Dates on the Center's Fall Calendar

The new hours make the center's fall events easier to fit into a day, since you can eat before or after at a place that's actually open. The center's entertainment district lists these:

  1. Wednesday, October 21: A free outdoor showing of Hocus Pocus, 6 to 9 p.m., with the movie starting at 7. Kilwins is open until 9 that night.
  2. Saturday, October 24: Boo! Ridge Trick-or-Treat, 2 to 4 p.m. Aria's closes at 3, so a late lunch can run into the first hour.
  3. Friday, November 20: The annual Deck the Green tree lighting, 5 to 7 p.m., the same evening the Chicago Street Markets winter market runs from 4 to 8 p.m.
  4. Saturday, November 21: Day two of the winter market, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with local vendors and food and drink from the center's restaurants.

The November market is the first big event since the turnover that asks the center's restaurants to serve a crowd outdoors. It's also the first holiday season with Aria's, The Bridewell Tavern and Kilwins all open on the same calendar. For more ideas beyond the center, our list of things to do in Burr Ridge covers the parks and golf around it, and the Burr Ridge neighborhood page has the wider village picture.

The Wok n Fire space has a breakfast menu now, the old Yolk space serves wings and Tuscan pizza, and you can get fudge at 745 Village Center Drive until 10 on a Saturday night.
